Our mission is to serve the the lesbian, gay, bisexual, & transgender community and its allies through advocacy, support, outreach, resources, and education, promoting equality for all.
We do not discriminate or judge.

Join us in Lake Geneva on Saturday, June 11 for what will be either a memorial for the passing of LGBT of Walworth County or a celebration of it's rebirth. We'll start off at 4pm with socializing, getting caught up, snacks, and drinks. We'll follow with pizza and more socializng. A meeting will follow that will detrmine our fate. With the loss (for one reason or another) of helpers, donors, supporters, and Board members. we have been opperating in name only these last two years. With the Director planning on stepping down (largely due to health reasons), we need a transfusion of new, exciting, responsible blood. We need new people to step up and take over and share new visions.
From the Director….
With the world slowly starting to wake up from a COVID nightmare, it’s time to rub the sleep from our eyes and return to a semblance of normalcy. Over the last couple of years LGBT of Walworth County has said its sad good-byes to friends, family members, and allies. Some were lost due to the pandemic. Others have decided that it was time to find greener pastures (geographically). For those we’ve lost, we mourn. For those moving on, we wish them well.
If we are going to continue, LGBT of Walworth County is in need of a reboot. We need new people (as well as LGBTWalCo veterans) to step up and help.
If we are going to get back to the activities we once sponsored we need people who are willing to help, to give their time for our cause (it’s your cause as well).
We need volunteers who can help with promotion, fundraising, planning, finances, etc. It's almost as if we're starting over. Way too much responsibility has fallen upon the Director who, after starting the organization needs to step down.
Whether its donating time and/or money, we need volunteers who can help in any number of ways: we need new Board members. We need people to help with marketing and advertising. We need people to help plan events. We need people to help run our events.
The future of LGBT of Walworth County is in your hands. Please consider helping in some way. If you’re interested you can email me at jodylynn@lgbtwalco.com.

A note about our phone number. When the number is called, it automatically is forwarded to the Director's home phone and cell. If there is no one around to answer it, the answer machine kicks in. Don't be thrown by a message saying you've reached Jody and Beth. Leave your message and we'll get back to you.
